The gold, bronze and platinum metallized vases are part of my new study BEYOND MORANDI, the evolution of the Le Morandine project in a more contemporary and experimental way. The simplicity of Morandi`s shapes, covered in gold, bronze or platinum create an interesting aesthetic short-circuit. Add flowers and fruit to your composition: you will recreate the triumph of the Flemish and Baroque still lifes.
Since 1998 Sonia Pedrazzini has been pursuing the project of an experience - through design - into the art of Giorgio Morandi.
Le Morandine are a collection of hand-painted vases, entirely conceived and made ONLY in Italy, whose shapes evoke Morandi still lifes. In the manner of the great artist, each and everyone of us will be able to compose a personal, ideal still life by varying the combinations of the vases and trying to find a personal balance of forms and colors. A piece of furniture, a game, a pastime, a pedagogical device - call it what you want- with these objects in your hands you can "be" just like the artist yourself, facing his homely albeit universal world. Move the shapes around, find the perfect composition and then let your gaze rest on them; let yourself be permeated by their hues, lights and shadows. Now YOU are the artist, the choreographer, the composer, the astronomer in this game of sidereal but also familiar presences.

I preziosi vasi metallizzati oro, bronzo e platino - con interno laccato rosso oppure azzurro - fanno parte del progetto MORANDI OLTRE, l’evoluzione de Le Morandine in chiave più contemporanea e sperimentale. La semplicità delle forme alla Morandi, ricoperte di oro, bronzo o platino e il dettaglio degli smalti rilucenti che fanno capolino dalle imboccature, creano un interessante cortocircuito estetico. Aggiungete fiori e frutta alla vostra composizione e potrete ricreare il trionfo delle nature morte barocche fiamminghe.

Le Morandine sono una collezione di vasi in ceramica, dipinti a mano, realizzati in Italia, le cui forme riprendono le nature morte di Morandi. Alla maniera del grande artista, con l’esperienza diretta, ognuno potrà comporre la natura morta ideale collocando i vasi in combinazioni sempre diverse e cercando un personale equilibrio di forme e di colori. Elemento d’arredo, gioco, passatempo, dispositivo pedagogico - chiamatelo come volete - con questi oggetti in mano ora anche voi potete “essere” proprio come l’artista davanti al suo mondo casalingo e insieme universale. Spostate queste forme, cercate la composizione perfetta e poi lasciate riposare lo sguardo su di esse, fatevi permeare dalle tonalità, dalle luci, dalle ombre. Adesso l’artista, il coreografo, il compositore, l’astronomo di questo gioco di presenze siderali e insieme domestiche, siete proprio voi.
